Portsmouth Water – Pipeline Commissioning Contract

 WSM are pleased to announce that they have successfully retained its contract with Portsmouth Water as their pipeline commissioning contractor following the recent tender process. 

 The contract will run for two years with a further three year option.  Portsmouth Water will receive WSM’s high quality pressure testing and disinfection service, ensuring that newly installed pipes are free from leaks and that mains are in a ‘Wholesome’ condition prior to being put into use.  WSM will also be responsible for taking and recording the water quality samples, for analysis in Portsmouth Waters’ laboratory.

 With Portsmouth Water’s 3280km of mains pipe supplying some 650,000 people the process of old mains being renewed and new mains being laid is always ongoing and WSM will continue to provide the highest level of service from the smallest supply pipe, to the largest trunk mains.
